Early Education
Introducing jarjums to bush tucker from an early age nurtures a deep connection to Country. Through play-based learning, jarjums explore how to care for Country while tasting, touching and smelling seasonal bush tucker. We weave in play, songs and a little silliness to create joyful, meaningful learning experiences.
Schools
We support older jarjums to build awareness of biodiversity and caring for Country. Through learning about local endemic plants, children connect with Country and experience bush tukka through taste and exploration. Workshops can be tailored to suit your curriculum needs.
Partnership workshops
Keep an eye on our socials for updates about our partnership workshops. At the moment, we have two ongoing partnerships with Mandy Draper of Deadly Dot Pots and My Dilly Bag.
The Bush Nursery and Deadly Dot Pots have teamed up to bring you “Paint, Learn & Grow” — two workshops in one. Participants will learn about Caring for Country, Native Bush Tukka, growing their own native seeds, and painting their own pot to take home.
Our partnership with My Dilly Bag brings you “Seeds of Knowledge.” These workshops explore growing your own bush tukka garden and include tasting Native Australian bush tukka foods. You can find these workshops advertised on My Dilly Bags Website.
If you would like to hold one of these workshops at your organisation, please complete the contact form or email us at thebushnursery@gmail.com
