We want you to feel confident when purchasing your native plants from The Bush Nursery. Please read the following policy carefully before placing an order.


Before You Order

Please ensure you read all product descriptions prior to ordering. We include important information such as pot size, plant care notes, and growing requirements to help you choose the best plants for your garden conditions.



Check Your Order on Arrival

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.
If there is a problem with your plant order, you must contact us within 48 hours of receiving your plants so we can help rectify the issue.
After 48 hours, we cannot accept responsibility for plant condition.

What Is the Problem?

1. Your plants arrived dead or dying

If your plants arrive in poor condition, we will offer either:

A store credit for the value of the affected plants, or

Replacement plants sent to you


"Poor condition" means the plant is unlikely to live and thrive as a result of shipping issues.
It does NOT include:

One or two yellowing or damaged leaves

Natural leaf shedding
These are normal behaviours and do not affect a plant’s long-term health.





2. Your plants don’t look exactly like the website photos

Plants are living things. Each one is individually grown and cared for, so differences in size, colour, shape, or fullness are normal.

Product descriptions clearly state what size pot you are purchasing. We always send the best plants available at the time of your order.



3. The plant is unsuitable for your climate

We provide detailed care and cultivation notes on each product page, including watering habits, and whether the plant is frost-tolerant when mature.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the plant is appropriate for their local climate and garden conditions. We cannot accept returns or issue refunds for plants that fail due to unsuitable conditions.



4. You ordered the wrong plant or changed your mind

We cannot accept returns or offer refunds for plants purchased in error or for a change of mind.
Once plants leave our nursery, we cannot resell them.




5. You purchased a gift or garden care item you no longer want

(This does not include gift cards.)

These items may be returned within 48 hours of receipt, at your own shipping cost, for a refund of the product price.
Items must be returned in the same condition they were sent.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.
