A versatile native shrub with vibrant fruit and aromatic flavour
Riberry is a small to medium-sized Australian native shrub or tree, typically growing between 3–6 metres tall. It features glossy green, oval-shaped leaves and produces delicate white flowers in spring, followed by a vibrant red fruit in late summer to early autumn.
The edible berries have a sweet-tart flavour with subtle notes of clove and cinnamon, making them a favourite in sauces, jams, chutneys, desserts, and even cocktails. Beyond its culinary appeal, Riberry is valued for its ornamental beauty and medicinal properties.
